Pizza Deliverer Robbed in West Hempstead

A delivery man was attacked from behind and robbed of both cash and his smartphone.

West Hempstead, NY - March 11, 2014 - Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred in West Hempstead on Monday, 03/10/14 at 10:07 P.M.
 
According to detectives, a pizza delivery man was approached by two male subjects in front of 588 Park Ave.  The first subject paid the victim for the food while the second subject came up behind the victim and placed him into a head lock. Both subjects threw the victim to the ground and proceeded to punch and kick him about the face and body.  The subjects went through the victims pockets and took a Samsung Galaxy cell phone and cash.  The subjects then fled on foot westbound on Lincoln Ave.
 
The victim sustained contusions and a laceration to the hand.  He refused medical aid at the scene.
 
The subjects are described as male blacks in their early to mid 20’s, 5’9-5’10’ tall, average builds and wearing dark colored hoodies.  No further description is available.
