Four Arrested after Assaulting and Robbing Victim in New Cassel

An 18-year-old male victim was repeatedly struck and robbed of his money by a group of four.

New Cassel, NY - March 11, 2014 - The Third Squad reports the details of four arrests for Robbery that occurred on March 10, 2014 at 2:25 PM in New Cassel.
 
According to detectives, Nassau County Police received a call for a robbery that just occurred at Roman Avenue and Wright Street. An 18 year old male victim stated that four males repeatedly struck him about his head and body and took an undetermined amount of US currency from his pocket. The subjects then fled towards a white vehicle with out of state plates.
 
Upon the arrival of Third Precinct Police Officers, the four subjects were observed exiting the white vehicle in an attempt to flee. Subjects Kareem Turner, 19, of 23 Lincoln Ct. Coram, Charles Brown, 17, of 642 Broadway Westbury and Shane Livingston, 22, of 21 Erna Drive Coram were stopped, positively identified and placed into police custody without incident. Subject Gahfad Leflore, 19, of 240 Baldwin Rd, Hempstead was apprehended a short time later after a brief chase.
 
The defendants are being charged with 2 counts of Robbery 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 7th degree. Defendant Leflore is additionally charged with Resisting Arrest and was found to have an open Nassau County warrant for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, Possession of Burglary Tools, Resisting Arrest and numerous Vehicle and Traffic Law infractions.
 
All four defendants will be arraigned in First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead on Tuesday March 11, 2014.
