"Special Statement" ...Locally dense fog early this morning across Long Island and portions of New York City and southern Connecticut... Areas of fog continues across Long Island and portions of southern Connecticut and New York City, and is expected to linger through at least the rush hour across most areas. While visibilities were generally 1 to 3 miles, however, at times, the fog was locally dense with visibilities as low as 1/4 mile or less at times.
