NCPD: Three Roosevelt Men Arrested for Freeport Robbery

Freeport, NY - March 5th, 2014 - The First Squad reports the details of three arrests for Robbery that occurred on March 4, 2014 at 11:22 PM in Freeport.

According to detectives, Freeport police received a call for a robbery that just occurred in the lobby of 45 Broadway.  Upon arrival a 18 year old male victim stated that three males beat him about the head and body and took his iPhone, jacket, wallet containing an undetermined amount of US currency and two gold colored necklaces. Officers were able to track the I phone near Randall Avenue and Harding Place. Officers responded to the area and stopped three subjects fitting the descriptions of the above in front of 203 N. Main Street.  After a positive identification, Charles Nesbitt, 33, Malcolm Nesbitt, 17, both of 27 W. Clinton Avenue, Roosevelt, and Henry Elgin, 17, of 309 Park Avenue, Roosevelt were placed under arrest.  The iPhone, jacket and a gold colored charm were recovered.  The victim refused further medical attention.

The defendants are being charged with two counts of Robbery 2nd Degree.  They will be arraigned on March 5, 2014 at First District Court, Hempstead.
