Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Babylon bank tonight.

Update - March 6, 2017 - Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred today at a Bohemia bank.

A man entered People’s United Bank, located at 3460 Veterans Memorial Highway, at approximately 11:30 a.m., and presented a note demanding cash. The teller complied with the suspect’s demands and gave him cash from the drawer. The robber fled the bank.

Fifth Precinct officers located and arrested the suspect, Michael Sullivan. An investigation by Major Case detectives determined that Sullivan was also responsible for the robbery at People’s United Bank in Babylon on March 2.

Detectives charged Sullivan with two counts of Robbery 3rd Degree. Sullivan will be held at the Fifth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on March 7.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Babylon, NY - March 2, 2017 - Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at a Babylon bank tonight.

A man entered People's United Bank, located at 375 Deer Park Ave., at approximately 5:20 p.m., approached a teller and displayed a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect was described as a white male 25 years-old to 35 years-old, approximately six feet tall, approximately 175-200 pounds. He was wearing a black nylon bomber jacket, blue jeans and a black knit hat.
