Winter's Last Snow Day: Fun Ways to Enjoy the Tail End of the Freezin' Season!

Written by Eric Anderson  |  02. March 2014

Spring is just around the corner, but Monday’s snow predictions say that we may be in for one last day of snow. With the weather that has hit Long Island this season, most of us are getting pretty sick of the snow, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make the best of it and try to enjoy what will most likely be the last snow storm of the winter.

Check out these great winter outdoor activities around Long Island that everyone can enjoy:

Cross Country Skiing
As we are all aware, there is not much Long Island has to offer in the ways of mountains or skiing. The great thing about cross country skiing is that you can do it anywhere. As long as there is enough snow on the ground, many people can make a trail right from their front door.

There are also many mapped out trails throughout Long Island where skiers can enjoy beautiful views. Remember to check the weather report and to be sure there is a safe amount of snow on the ground before heading out.
