Woodmere Woman Arrested for Burglarizing Two Local Businesses

Jamie Culoso of Woodmere has been charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree after burglarizing Woodmere Farms, and Woodmere Convenience.

Woodmere, NY - February 29th, 2016 - The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a Woodmere woman on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 11:46 P.M. for two Burglaries that occurred in Woodmere.

According to detectives, on November 10, 2015, the owner of Woodmere Farms located at 1102 Broadway discovered that the rear glass door had been shattered and a cash register with an undisclosed amount of US currency was removed.

On November 18, 2015, the owner of Woodmere Convenience, located at 1064 Broadway discovered the rear door damaged from being pried open. Video surveillance showed the subject enters the store, and then fled in an unknown direction when the alarm sounded.

A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Jamie Culoso, 27, of Ward Place as a result of latent fingerprints and DNA evidence which were recovered from the scenes. Culoso was placed under arrest at her residence without incident.

Culoso is charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree and will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on February 27, 2016.
