Holbrook, NY - February 26, 2014 - Suffolk County Legislator Lindsay III honored Sayville resident, Lori Green, for her 10 years of service on the Suffolk County Women’s Advisory Commission on February 24, 2014. “Lori has been a wonderful advocate for the residents of Suffolk County and I am extremely grateful for her commitment towards the advancement of women,” said Lindsay III. Lori has served on the Women’s Advisory Commission as a member since March of 2004 and served as chairwoman from 2008 to 2010 under the late Presiding Officer, William J. Lindsay.

In her decade of service, Lori has committed herself to the duties of the Commission; to promote changes in policy, coordinate and develop resources in both the public and private sectors, to stimulate community awareness and interest in women’s issues and to ensure the recognition of and response to the needs and accomplishments of Suffolk County women.

Lori will officially step down from the Women’s Advisory Commission this month; however she will continue to advocate for women in her work as a Registered Nurse, educator, substitute school nurse, and EMT. “I am truly proud of everything Lori has accomplished and I wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors,” said Lindsay III.
