Three Teens Arrested for Auto Thefts in Bellmore and Roosevelt

Seventh Squad detectives report the details of three arrests for larcenies of autos that occurred in Bellmore on Thursday, 02/23/17 at 12:00 A.M. and in Roosevelt on Wednesday, 02/22/17 at 9:40 P.M.

All three juveniles were arrested with the assistance of Hempstead police.

Bellmore / Roosevelt, NY - February 24, 2017 - Seventh Squad detectives report the details of three arrests for larcenies of autos that occurred in Bellmore on Thursday, 02/23/17 at 12:00 A.M. and in Roosevelt on Wednesday, 02/22/17 at 9:40 P.M.

According to detectives, Khalid Brown, 16, of Hempstead, Jerell Deleon, 16, of Bellmore, and a 15-year-old male juvenile (identity withheld) stole a 2016 Ford Escape from a driveway on Boundary Rd. in Bellmore.  During the theft the defendants struck the victim’s other vehicle, which was parked behind the stolen vehicle, causing damage. On Wednesday, 02/22/17, the defendants stole a 2017 Ford Explorer from Greenwich Ave. in Roosevelt

Seventh Squad detectives located the defendants, with the stolen vehicles on Ormond St. in Bellmore, where they were placed under arrest with the assistance of Hempstead police officers.  Deleon and Brown are each being charged with two counts of Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, two counts of Possession Stolen Property 3rd Degree, Possession Stolen Property 5th Degree and will be arraigned on Friday, 02/24/17 in First District Court, Hempstead.  The juvenile is being charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree and was released on a Desk Appearance Ticket.
