Carle Place Store Robbed at Gunpoint

A store manager was robbed of her engagement ring and wedding band after a thief stole cash from a register.

Carle Place, NY - February 24, 2014 - Third Squad detectives are investigating a Robbery that occurred on February 24, 2014 at 10:25 am in Carle Place.
 
According to detectives, a male black subject entered Life uniforms, 249 Old Country Road, approached the female store manager and pointed a black handgun at her. After demanding she open the register, the subject removed an undisclosed about of money and placed it into a blue pillowcase. After opening her pocketbook, the subject then removed her wallet which contained credit cards and personal papers in the name of the victim.  He then forced the manager into a back room where he proceeded to handcuff her and remove her engagement ring as well as her wedding band. He then fled store through the rear door.
 
The victim, who sustained minor contusions to her wrists, described the subject as being in his 30’s with a medium build. He was wearing a navy blue hoodie, tan pants, white sneakers and a black ski mask.
 
Detectives request anyone with information regarding this Robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
