Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the individual (s) who stole a medallion from a veteran’s monument in Islandia.

Marine Corps medallion was pried off of the New War Veterans Memorial monument in Islandia. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.

Islandia, NY - February 21, 2017 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the individual (s) who stole a medallion from a veteran’s monument in Islandia.

On January 16, a Marine Corps medallion was pried off of the New War Veterans Memorial monument located at the corner of Nichols Road and Johnson Avenue in Islandia. The medallion is 24 inches round, made of aluminum alloy and has the Marine Corps emblem engraved on it.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
