The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a Wind Advisory...which is in effect until 6 am EST Tuesday. The High Wind Warning has been cancelled. * Winds...northeast 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph. * Timing...the strongest winds are expected until late tonight. * Impacts...strong winds may blow down limbs...trees...and power lines. Nassau Police: Woman Wanted for Larceny in Uniondale

An unidentified woman is wanted for stealing from a Nassau County Walmart.

Uniondale, NY - February 19, 2014 - Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department are seeking the public’s help with identifying the unknown subject pictured above. She is wanted in connection with a Petit Larceny that occurred in Uniondale, New York.
 
On Wednesday January 29, 2014, at approximately 1:42 PM, the subject was observed inside Walmart located at 1123 Jerusalem Ave Uniondale. At that time, the subject took two Gateway desktop computers, and put them in a shopping cart covered by a jacket. The subject exited the store passing all points of purchase without paying for the items. The subject then entered a gray four door sedan unknown make, model, or registration, and fled in an unknown direction on Jerusalem Ave.
