Woman Killed in House Fire in E. Patchogue

East Patchogue, NY - February 18th, 2014 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad and Arson Section detectives are investigating a fire that killed a woman in East Patchogue this morning.

Police officers and firefighters responded to 69 Munsell Road after a neighbor called 911 to report seeing smoke coming from the home at 7:57 a.m. Two firefighters were able to enter the home and remove a female occupant. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The woman was the only person in the home at the time of the fire.

The woman’s identity will be determined following an autopsy by the medical examiner and Arson Section detectives are continuing their investigation into the cause of the fire.
