Search for Vicious Dogs Continue After Teen Boy and 3 Women Attacked

On Tuesday night, two dogs that appeared to be pit bulls were on the loose and attacked four people in a five block area of Lakeview on Long Island. It all occurred within 30 minutes.

The vicious attacks left one 16-year old boy injured as well as three women. All were treated at area hospitals and released.

The first attack occurred around 6:30 p.m. as the teen boy was walking on Parkside and Cedar Road. He was injured on his left arm. The next attack occurred 10 minutes later to a 54-year old woman walking on Pinebrook Avenue and Parkside Road. She was also injured on her left arm. By 6:50 p.m., a 24-year old woman walking on Pinebrook Avenue and Tyler Road was attacked. She faced injuries to her right arm and left leg. The final attack occurred at 7:01 p.m. on Clinton Avenue. A 29-year old woman was getting out of her car when the dogs approached her and attacked. She faced injuries to her face, both arms and the left shoulder.

Nassau County Police and the Hempstead Animal Control units searched the area by foot and helicopter following the attacks. The dogs were described as having worn collars with one having a piece of chain attached to it.

One pit bull is described as black and other one is brown.
