Play Fair Presented by LEGO and Nickelodeon
Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14 Jacob Javits Center
A celebration of play and entertainment, the Play Fair features toys, games and characters geared for the kids, but just as appealing for the adults. Hands-on exhibits such as LEGO build stations, character photo opportunities, and special screenings from Cartoon Network and Marvel are just some of the activities to enjoy.

Getting There: The Jacob Javits Center is located at 655 West 34th Street.
LIRR Customers take the train to Penn Station (use the 34th Street entrance) and walk a few blocks west to 11th Avenue. You can also take the westbound M34 bus at the corner of 34th Street and 8th Avenue. The Javits Center is located on Eleventh Avenue between 34th and 40th Streets.

Metro-North Customers take the Hudson, Harlem or New Haven Line to Grand Central Terminal. From there, take the 7 train to 34th St. – Hudson Yards station.

  • Package includes LIRR off-peak round trip rail fare and General admission to one Discovery Times Square exhibit. Please check with Discovery to confirm current exhibits.
     
  • Price is $37.50 for adults traveling Zones 1-10 and $48.50 for adults traveling Zones 12-14; price is $17.75 for children (ages 5-11). Seniors 65+ should check current regular admission and rail fare and compare with adult package price.

Metro-North Customers

  • Discount admission to the exhibit for adults is $20.50; seniors/disabled/ individuals receiving Medicare pay $17.25; children 3 -11, are $15.75; and children under 3 are free.
  • Discount round-trip rail fare is available. Check here for price from your boarding station.
  • Purchase your package ticket from any Metro-North ticket office, full-service ticket vending machine (excluding Grand Central Terminal) or through WebTicket.

Getting There: Discovery Times Square is located at 226 West 44th Street.

LIRR customers take either the 1, 2, 3, A, C, or E uptown to 42nd Street, walk north to 44th between 7th & 8th Avenues.

Metro-North customers take the Hudson, Harlem or New Haven Line to Grand Central Terminal. From there, take the 42nd Street S Shuttle or 7 train to Times Square and walk two blocks to 44th Street or exit on 42nd Street and walk west to Times Square and 44th Street.

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum
Daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
USS Intrepid, the World War II aircraft carrier, is a national historic landmark which served as a primary recovery vessel for NASA and then in Vietnam. It is the highlight of the museum which also features a space shuttle pavilion, submarine Growler and British Airways Concorde.

February 15-20 is Kids Week at the Museum, featuring the theme Extreme Environments. Learn how NASA researches Earth's climates to understand our planet and prepare astronauts for travel to the moon, Mars and beyond.

  • Price is $40 for adults traveling Zones 1-10 and $51 for adults traveling Zones 12-14; price is $22 for children (ages 5-11). Seniors 65+ should check current regular admission and rail fare and compare with adult package price.

Metro-North Customers

  • Discount admission to the Museum/Space Shuttle Pavilion for adults is $23.50; seniors/disabled/ individuals receiving Medicare, college students (with valid student identification) pay $21.50; children 7-17, are $18.50; children 3-6 are $13.50; children under 3, retired and active duty U.S. Military/Museum members are free.

Getting There: The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is located at Pier 86, One Intrepid Square (West 46th Street and 12th Avenue).

Long Island Rail Road customers take the train to Penn Station (use the 34th Street entrance) and walk west to 12th Avenue. Customers can also take the M34 crosstown bus from 34th Street and 8th Avenue. For Travel information, see schedules or call 511and say "LIRR".

Buying Tickets at LIRR Gray, Green or Blue Ticket Machines
