North Massapequa. NY - February 8th, 2016 - The Homicide Squad reports the details of a fatal auto accident which occurred on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 6:26 P.M. in North Massapequa.
According to detectives, Francis Ossandon, 77, of Florence Road, Bethpage struck a bicyclist while driving northbound on Hicksville Road. Ossandon left the scene and was located at his residence and placed under arrest.
The victim, Francis Llanos, 59, of Seaford, was taken to Saint Joseph’s Hospital where he was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
Ossandon is charged with Leaving the Scene of a Fatality. He will be arraigned on Monday, February 08, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
