Many house fires result from these practices. * Check tire pressure and your car battery. Native New Yorker, Helene Sola, launched her first children’s book, Loo Loo and the Fabulous Marvelous Rexxaroo, in conjunction with raising money for animal rescue ...

January 12, 2013 (Brentwood, NY) Helene Sola-Grieg, a Registered Nurse, clinical nursing instructor, and animal lover has written and published her first children’s book, Loo Loo and the Fabulous Marvelous Rexxaroo. Her book has already raised a lot of money for local animal rescue organizations.  She will be taking part in the Long Island Horse and Pet Expo, on March 1st through March 3rd.

“My book was inspired by my love of children and animals,” said Sola. “I feel that caring for children and animals and teaching the next generation are some of the most rewarding experiences one can have.”

Loo and the Fabulous Marvelous Rexxaroo is the story of a lonely little girl named Loo Loo. When she discovers Rexxaroo, a very unusual cat, “her world begins to change, and things begin to look quite strange!” Through their many magical adventures together, Rexxaroo helps Loo Loo to overcome her shyness and meet many new friends.

A portion of Sola’s proceeds earned from the Pet Expo event will be donated to the Mid Hudson Animal Aid (MHAA) cat sanctuary in Beacon, NY. Rexxaroo received his start at the cat sanctuary, and Sola would like to share this special event, and the success of Loo Loo and the Fabulous Marvelous Rexxaroo, with this special place.

“It is my hope that the success of the Rexxaroo book and crafts will continue to help raise money for animal rescue organizations,” said Sola.

Join author Helene Sola in her efforts to support animal rescue while learning about her new children’s book. Signed books and Rexxaroo crafts will be available for purchase at a discounted price during the Expo event. The book will sell for $14.00 and craft items for $6.00 each.

The event will be held at: The Suffolk Community College Expo Center, 1001 Crooked Hill Road (Exit 53 off LIE. Wicks Road) Brentwood, Long Island, NY 11717
