SCPD Looking for Car and Credit Card Thief

Islip, NY - February 6, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who stole a car then used the owner’s credit card at the mall in January.
 
A man stole a 1993 Lincoln Mark 8 that was parked on Main Street in Islip on January 7 at 4:45 p.m. A few hours later, the suspect drove to the Smith Haven Mall and used a credit card he found inside the car at FootAction. He bought more than $200 worth of merchandise at 8:28 p.m.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000.00 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
