SCPD Crime Alert: Man Attempts to Rob Two Medford Banks

Medford, NY - February 5th, 2014 -  Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating two attempted bank robberies that occurred today in Medford.
 
Chase Bank, located at 2271 Rt. 112, and Bank of America, located at 2851 Horseblock Rd., reported attempted robberies within 15 minutes of each other. In each incident a man entered the bank, approached a teller, and produced a note demanding cash.  When the tellers did not immediately comply with the demand, the suspect fled on foot.
 
The robber is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, between 30 and 35 years old with a thin build. He was wearing a tan colored jacket and a white baseball cap.
