NCPD & SCPD Report: Two Melville Men Arrested for Bank Robbing Spree

The Robbery Squad, in conjunction with the Suffolk County Pattern Crimes Unit, reports the arrest of two Melville men for Robberies on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 5:10 P.M. in Melville.

Melville, NY - January 30th, 2014 - The Robbery Squad, in conjunction with the Suffolk County Pattern Crimes Unit, reports the arrest of two Melville men for Robberies on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 5:10 P.M. in Melville.

According to detectives, Adam W. Baron, 18, and Jamie Ramirez, 25, both of 1119 Court N. Drive, Melville were located and arrested without incident in the parking lot of Avalon Apartments complex where they live.  After further investigation the subjects are charged with the following crimes:

  • On Thursday, December 26, 2014 Adam Baron is charged with Robbery for an incident that occurred at the Bethpage Federal Credit Union located at 750 Old Country Road in Westbury.
  • On Monday, January 13, 2014 Adam Baron is charged with Robbery for an incident that occurred at the TD Bank located at 290 Merrick Road in Rockville Centre.
  • On Friday, January 17, 2014 Jamie Ramirez is charged with Robbery for an incident that occurred at the Chase Bank located at 1542 Bellmore Avenue in N. Bellmore.
  • On Thursday, January 23, 2014 Baron and Ramirez are charged with Robbery for an incident that occurred at the Chase Bank located at 1064 Old Country Road in Plainview.
  • On Thursday, January 23, 2014 Baron and Ramirez are charged with Attempted Robbery for an incident that occurred at the Chase Bank located at 2122 Merrick Avenue in Merrick.
  • On Thursday, January 23, 2014 Baron and Ramirez are charged with Robbery for an incident that occurred at the Roslyn Savings Bank located at 2111 Merrick Avenue in Merrick.
  • On Tuesday, January 28, 2014 Adam Baron is charged with Robbery for an incident that occurred at the Chase Bank located at 334 Main Street in Farmingdale.

In total Adam W. Baron is charged with five counts of Robbery 2nd degree and one count of Robbery 2nd degree (Attempt).  Jamie Ramirez is charged with two counts of Robbery 2nd degree, Robbery 3rd degree and Robbery 2nd degree (Attempt). They will be arraigned on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
