Port Jefferson, NY - January 30, 2014 - Suffolk County Legislator Kara Hahn welcomed student representatives from the Jefferson Academic Center in Port Jefferson to her Main Street district office.  Legislator Hahn provided an overview of the Suffolk County Legislature and discussed with the middle school aged students the role and functions of government and analyzed policy initiatives currently being considered at the local level.
