SCPD Crime Alert: Two Men Wanted for Using Stolen Credit Cards

Commack, NY - January 28th, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person(s) who used a credit card belonging to a woman whose purse was stolen from her vehicle while it was in the parking lot of LA Fitness in Commack.

On September 4, 2013, at approximately 8:40 p.m., a suspect(s) broke the rear passenger window of a 2000 Nissan Xterra that was located in the west parking lot of LA Fitness located at 98 Veterans Memorial Highway and stole the woman’s Michael Kors purse. The purse contained a wallet and assorted credit/debit cards.When the victim called the credit card company to cancel the cards, she learned that one of the cards had already been used without permission at a local gas station.

On September 5, at approximately 12:30 a.m., two male subjects (shown here) used one of the victim’s credit cards to purchase merchandise at a 7-11 located at 125 Crooked Hill Road in Brentwood.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
