Written by Long Island News & PR  |  28. January 2014

Rockville Centre, NY - January 28, 2014 - Rockville Centre Lanes will be hosting a fun-filled, family event organized by Chapters, complete with unlimited bowling, shoes, food, soft drinks and live music on Sunday, February 2, 2014 from 5:00-11:00 pm. Cost of admission is $20.00 with door prizes for the first 100 guests.

Attendees can soak up all the Super Bowl action on 30+ flat screen televisions and via a live radio broadcast. Games, raffles, trivia contests and a silent auction will add to the evening's entertainment.

Vice President of Maple Family Centers, Joe LaSpina, commented, "This will truly be a special event. It's being held on Super Bowl Sunday so we'll be broadcasting the game on multiple TVs. However, the real focus will be the live music performed on a stage located above the lanes."

Four live acts will take to the stage including Jeremy Williams, Eluminum, Nicolette Gallo and Scott Martin, who will be performing the Harry Chapin hit, "Cats in the Cradle."

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Long Island Cares, Inc. which provides food and support services to the hungry. Bowlers are encouraged to bring canned goods to donate to the Harry Chapin Food Bank.

The event is right up anyone's alley. LaSpina pointed out, "Bowling is a great way to bring people together to support a good cause. Anyone at any age can bowl. There are no barriers to entry when it comes to bowling. If you can have a good time and help a great cause like Long Island Cares, it's a win-win."

Elana Sissons, Food Drive Coordinator for Long Island Cares, said, "This is the fourth event Chapters has chosen Long Island Cares to be the beneficiary of in the last six months. Their generosity is tremendous and it would not be possible without the support of businesses like Rockville Centre Lanes. Every time a business allows Long Island Cares to setup an information table, distribute literature about our programs, and collect food and monetary donations, they are directly assisting in our mission to end hunger on Long Island and helping to feed a family. Through this event we hope to educate someone who has never heard of Long Island Cares; and either sign that person up to be a new volunteer or assist them with their food insecurities. We thank Rockville Center Lanes and Chapters for their support and wish them a successful event."

Rockville Centre Lanes is located at 100 Maple Avenue in Rockville Centre, New York. To purchase tickets for the February 2nd event, please contact Donna at (516) 406-8830.
