Man Wanted for Robbing Capitol One in Center Moriches

Center Moriches, NY - January 21st, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who robbed a Center Moriches bank last August. 
 
A man entered Capital One, located at 500 Main St., on August 9 at 12:37 p.m. and handed the teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied with the man’s demands and he then fled on foot, last seen traveling northbound on Chichester Avenue. 
 
The man was described as black, approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall in his early 40s with a skinny build and goatee. He was wearing a blue windbreaker with a blue and white hat, blue jeans and dark sunglasses. 
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
