NCPD Crime Alert: Man Wanted for Robbing Woman in Elmont

Elmont, NY - January 18th, 2014 - Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a Robbery that occurred on January 17, 2014 at 7:40 pm in Elmont.
 
According to detectives, after exiting Metro PCS, 1789 Dutch Broadway, the 25 year old female victim was approached by a male white who threatened the victim stating, “I have a knife, if you don’t give me your bag, I’ll stab you.” The subject then grabbed her pocketbook and after a brief struggle to retain her bag, he was able to forcibly remove it from her shoulder. The victim followed the subject who was last seen running through the rear yards on Rifton Street. He was further described as being approximately 5’5” tall in his 20’s. He had a thin build and was wearing dark jeans, a black sweater, a black hood, a dark knit hat and a white scarf across his face.
 
The victim, who sustained pain to her shoulder, refused medical attention at the scene.
