Uniondale, NY - January 17th, 2014 - The Fugitive Squad reports the details of an arrest for a Warrant that occurred on January 17, 2014 at 6:40 AM in Uniondale.

According to detectives, the members of the Nassau County Fugitive Squad and members of the US Marshal Service NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force executed an arrest warrant for Roberto Carlo Ayala, 20, of 1068 Harrison Street, Uniondale for desertion from the United States Navy.  The defendant was placed under arrest at his residence without incident.  A loaded 9mm Beretta semi-automatic pistol and a high capacity magazine were found in his possession.

The defendant is being charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminal Possession of a High Capacity Magazine.  Ayala will be arraigned on January 18, 2014 at First District Court, Hempstead.
