Hicksville, NY - January 14, 2015 - The Narcotics Vice Bureau reports the details of an arrest for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument which occurred on Tuesday, October 7 and Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in Hicksville.

According to detectives, defendant Jason Kang, 30, of 78 Woods Drive, Roslyn entered Smith’s Pharmacy located at 53 N. Broadway on the above two dates and presented a prescription for Oxycodone to be filled. The employee of the pharmacy verified the identification of the defendant by his New York State drivers’ license, but after further investigation found that the prescription was fraudulent and had been altered. The defendant fled the scene. Detectives placed defendant Kang under arrest on January 13, 2015 at 10:00 am after surrendering to the Nassau County Police Department.

Defendant Kang is being charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree. He was arraigned on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at First District Court, Hempstead.
