Montauk, NY - January 13, 2017 - A Brooklyn man was arraigned on a five count indictment with impersonating a police officer and criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree.  He pleaded not guilty to a five count indictment.

The defendant, Krishna Parihar, 24, was stopped by East Hampton Town police on Montauk Highway in Montauk after a 911 caller alerted police that the defendant was driving a Dodge Charger with red and white flashing lights.  During the traffic stop the defendant was found in possession of a loaded 9mm hand gun and two loaded large capacity magazines. The defendant showed the police officer a badge and said he was an NYPD officer. It was determined that the badge was fake and the defendant was not a police officer.

The defendant was arraigned in front of Justice Martin Efman and bail was set at $50,000 dollars.  Pariahr’s next court date is 2/28/17.

Be advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
