Police Seek Help in Case of 7 Eleven Robbery in Merrick, Store Clerk Injured

Merrick, NY - January 11, 2016 - Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a Robbery that occurred on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 4:30 am in Merrick.

According to detectives, a male white subject, while inside 7 Eleven, 203 Sunrise Highway, was observed by a store clerk taking several magazines and concealing them in his jacket. When confronted at the exit door, the subject pushed the clerk to ground causing him to suffer a laceration to his nose. The subject then fled in a black BMW that the clerk was able to obtain the license plate information from.

A subsequent investigation by detectives, including store video, led to the identification of the subject, Jamie Rivera, 31, from a last known Newton Blvd., Freeport address.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Rivera to call 911 or Seventh Squad detectives at (516) 573-6754.
