Long Island, NY - January 12, 2015 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano (left) commended Mary Anne Hanson of Malverne and Tim Sullivan of Rockville Centre for their continued efforts in raising funds for the Wounded Warrior Project and their expansion of events and programs for Long Island Veterans.

Both residents are working with a team of people in a grass-roots effort to make Veterans Day more recognized and celebrated in our communities, as well as ensuring the proper recognition of a rapidly growing younger veteran population.

County Executive Mangano commended Mr. Sullivan and Ms. Hanson for their work in raising funds for organizations that specialize in assisting Veterans. “We owe a deep debt of gratitude to all of our veterans and their families. It is vital that we remember the sacrifices of our veterans and support them whenever and wherever possible. It is due to the hard work of people such as Tim Sullivan and Mary Ann Hanson, that many of our veterans will enjoy the services available to them.”
