Syosset Woman Arrested for Multiple Home Burglaries in Hicksville

Hicksville, NY - January 6, 2016 - The Second Squad along with the Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Syosset woman for multiple burglaries in Hicksville.

According to Second Squad and Burglary Pattern Team Detectives, defendant Syeda Bukhari, 47, of Syosset, did enter the following Hicksville homes without permission:

Between December 23, 2016 and December 26, 2016 – the defendant entered a 5th Street home through a rear window.  No reported loss.

Between December 24, 2016 and December 29, 2016 – the defendant entered a Division Avenue residence through a rear window, stayed in the home for a period of time and stole jewelry.

Between December 27, 2016 and December 28, 2016 the defendant entered an Underhill Avenue residence through a rear glass door, ate food and removed other food items from the home.

On January 5, 2017 at 5:50 am a male home owner was inside his 5th Street home when he heard his rear glass window break. When he went to investigate the victim saw the defendant attempting to enter the house. The victim fled the scene without gaining entry into the home.

After an investigation detectives arrested defendant Syeda Bukhari  on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 10:00 pm inside of Wendy’s, Hicksville without incident.

Defendant Bukhari is being charged with 4 counts of Burglary 2nd Degree.  She will be arraigned on Friday, January 6, 2017 at First District Court, Hempstead.
