The Suffolk County SPCA is offering a TWO thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for shooting and killing a male Pit Bull.

Islip Terrace, NY - January 6th, 2015 - The Suffolk County SPCA is offering a TWO thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for shooting and killing a male Pit Bull.

The SPCA was notified Saturday that the dog, Jax, was found by his owner in the rear yard of a home in Islip Terrace and had blood coming out of its mouth. .

Chief Roy Gross of the Suffolk County SPCA said that Jax was brought to Grady Animal Hospital in Sayville where a necropsy was performed which determined that the dog was killed by a pellet shot to the chest, according to Jax's owner  .
