Westbury, NY - January 20th, 2015 - Singing says it best, every time, asserts the Nassau Mid-Island Chapter of the 22,000-member Barbershop Harmony Society whose quartets once again will fan out in Nassau and Western Suffolk to offer personally delivered Singing Valentines on Feb. 12, 13 and 14. The "hear and now" program annually scheduled for recipients at work places, schools, in restaurants, care facilities, in homes or wherever else the sender desires, are being arranged from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day on a quartets-available basis.

Along with the four-part harmony singing of two love songs recipients also receive a silk rose and card given on behalf of the senders. Cost for the special "love notes" just about guaranteed to produce a tug at the heart. a tear or two, a blush or all three, is $75 and made by phoning 917-387-7845. The barbershop quartets arrive unannounced at the specified times formally dressed in tuxedos and wearing bright red bow ties and cummerbunds.

"The element of surprise obviously plays a big part in the delight shown by recipients involved, but others within hearing play a role as well, notes Dennis Novick, the Nassau Mid-Island Chapter's Valentine's chairman for 2015. "The looks on the faces of co-workers, family members, etc. exhibit enormous pleasure in knowing how each sender's affection is offered in such a special way."
