Waiting to meet you at Last Hope Animal Rescue in Wantagh is Dutchess. This sweetheart was turned into the Brookhaven Town Shelter when her family moved out of state which is such a shame, since Dutchess is great with kids and other dogs. Dutchess is about 7 years old and recently had cherry eye surgery which she is recovering from quite nicely. Another great family dog, why not head down to Last Hope and meet Dutchess today! For more information, check out her webpage.

More of a cat person? You can also meet TG at Last Hope! TG was rescued when he wandered into a feral colony in Bellerose. This handsome tabby boy is a little over a year old, and is just an all around happy guy. TG loves to knead with all four paws when he’s eating, and chirps back to you when you speak to him. TG would really make a wonderful addition to any family with his easy-going personality. Turns out TG walks with a slight limp, but he can run and jump onto your lap without a problem. X-rays showed a healed fracture in his left thigh bone. Most likely he had been hit by a car and never was taken to a vet; so the bone healed but has a slight curvature which makes him walk a little funny. No further treatment is needed. But a HOME is needed for sweet TG. For more information, check out his webpage.

Looking for the guy of your dreams? Right next door at Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter you can meet Brock! Ever watch an 82 pound dog roll onto his back for belly rubs? It's just about the silliest, cutest thing you'll ever see. Brock came to the shelter as an owner surrender, and is now looking for a savvy new family. Brock used to live with BIRDS and another dog, and did great on his dog test at the shelter! Brock is said to be house trained, and friendly with strangers. Brock is a big boy with a big heart...please consider bringing him into your life. If you are interested in Brock, please call for more information: 516-785-5220 or come visit at: 3320 Beltagh Avenue, Wantagh NY 11793.

As always, thank you for reading. Please remember to always adopt, never shop...pass it on!
