Located in Wheatley Heights, NY on five spectacular wooded acres of the Henry Kaufman Campgrounds, The Adventure Park at Long Island is the area's most exciting new attraction. The Adventure Park appeals to outdoor fun-seekers age 7 through adult and features multiple zip lines and aerial ropes challenge courses.

The Adventure Park at Long Island consists of eight different “ropes courses” or trails through the trees, of varying challenge levels, from introductory to advanced. The self-guided trails do not require previous climbing experience. After receiving a safety briefing and harness, each climber selects a trail at their comfort level and then proceeds to navigate its different “bridges” or “elements” moving from tree platform to tree platform. The trails include zip lines as well. Climbers proceed at their own pace and each trail requires anywhere from approximately 15 – 30 minutes to complete. Upon completion of one trail the visitor may again ascend the starting platform and select another trail. A climbing ticket entitles the visitor to unlimited climbs during a three-hour period. Park staff members are continually on-site and available for assistance or questions.

All climbers wear safety harnesses that employ “double-clipped-on” technology to help keep the climber continuously connected to a safety cable throughout their time in the trees. The trails are designed for ages seven and older, with appropriate challenges suited for kids, teens and adults.

General Admission:
Summer open 7 days a week
Fall and Spring - Weekends and Holidays

My daughter attended a bday party there this past Saturday, although it took quite a very long time to get our group registered in and others were going ahead, we still had a ball. The kids ranging for ages 7 - 12 had the best time. Something very different and so cool to do. I would go back for sure, not only for my daughter but for me to do.

The place is excellent If you book a birthday party they do not refund you if a child is unable to make it at the last minute You need to give 4 hour notice to change the amount in the party Which is unreasonable when it comes to kids parties.

Turned in to to facility, was stopped by a rude guard.....was so turned-off by this guy, I left. One would think one would be greeted by a smiling happy guard if there is a security gate, particularly a BRAND NEW facility. These folks just don't get it!

While it may not have opened up yet, I am excited to learn I might get an opportunity to zip line at least once on my bucket list - and I'm 66 years old....No time like the present!
