The Stony Brook Sports Complex consists of two separate buildings, the Pritchard Gym (one of the original buildings built on campus in the 1960s) and the newer West Wing. The Pritchard Gym is 20,000 square feet and serves as home for the Seawolves’ men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams. Since the summer of 2008, renovations have upgraded seating to nearly 2,000 seats, refinished the hardwood floor and a new scoreboard has been added. The West Wing Arena is 40,000 square feet, houses 3 regulation basketball courts and a 177-meter rubber surface track surrounding the perimeter of the room. The arena is also home to numerous trade shows, ceremonies and concerts throughout the year.
