The Quogue Wildlife Refuge has been in operation for just under 80 years and is open 365 days a year. Many animals that are permanently injured or need human care to survive call this 305-acre nature preserve their home. A bobcat, owls, falcons and eagles are housed in the outdoor Distressed Wildlife Complex. Scenic views on the Old Ice Pond are available from inside the Nature Center through huge picture windows. The extensive size of the property makes it a perfect destination for quiet time and relaxation. Visitor can spend time bird watching on taking a stroll on the seven miles of trails with chances to explore the Refuge’s diverse habitats.
