The Nassau County Firefighters Museum & Education Center's focus is on teaching fire prevention and does so through live demonstrations, historical firefighting equipment, and interactive and hands on programs for all ages. The experience raises awareness on fire safety, ultimately saving lives and stimualtes recruitment in the local departments. The Museum is open for birthday parties and holds fundraising events each year to help offset the rising cost of operating the museum.
