The original Crescent Athletic Club of Brooklyn of the 1880s was known for its polo fields and rowing clubs. Using the design skills of Devereux Emmet and Alfred H. Tull, 175 acres were converted into the 18-hole private golf club known as Huntington Crescent. New renovations to the clubhouse have retained the old world elegance of Edwardian times. The course itself measures 6,403 yards from its longest tees. It has a par value of 70, a rating of 71.2 and a slope of 131. Greenside bunkers and collars have been revamped recently and a newly installed irrigation/fertilization system has made maintaining the high quality of the grounds much easier. Tee expansions are ongoing. Additionally, members and guests can enjoy the 16 tennis courts and heated pool with its own snack bar and full bar. Catering services are offered through the beautiful facilities at the clubhouse.
