Come enjoy a week of beach camping in one of their 168 sites at Hither Hills State Park, located on Long Island's southern tip.  You can fish all year and fish at night as long as you have a permit. Not much for fishing? You can check out the park’s “walking dunes” and their woodlands which contains many variety of trees.

Hither Hill is known for a variety of activities that range from hiking and nature trails, hunting, and many aquatic activities, such as windsurfing.

Hither Hills ranks in the top ten state parks for biodiversity in that state.

Dogs are allowed on certain parts of the park on a leash not more than 6 feet. They can be walked north of Montauk Parkway, East of Napeague Harbor and west of overlook parking, but are not allowed in camping, bathing, or picnic areas, nor buildings and walkways.
