The Cradle of Aviation Museum is an aerospace museum located on land that was at one time apart of Mitchel Air Force Base, just one of many historic flight locations in the area along with Roosevelt Field and other airfields on the Hempstead Plains.

In the 1920s the cluseter of fields was dubbed "The Cradle of Aviation." At the great museum visitors are offere a comprehensive look into the past of aviation innovation that began in our very own backyards.
