LongIsland.com visitors can vote for their favorite pizza during the online contest. The pizzerias who collect the most votes, are invited down as finalists to the Long Island Pizza Festival & Bake-off. The Pizza Festival is held annually during National Pizza Month in October.

During the bake-off, pizza is prepared on premises for a panel of Celebrity Judges including food critics, reviewers and pizza connoisseurs. In addition to the bake-off, the Long Island Pizza Festival is a fun-filled day of pizza related activities. Pizza sampling, acrobatic dough tossing, a pizza eating contest, talent show, mini pie making for the kids, a charity raffle, rides, games and amusements.
