Come Saturday night, Christmas Eve, Santa will be making his rounds to all the good little boys and girls of Long Island, from the very tip of Montauk through to the busy streets of Manhattan. But before spreading holiday cheer, joy, and loads gifts with Rudolph lighting the way, the elusive elf will be making guest appearance in malls, on farms, and star in parades up until his return to the North Pole Christmas night. The following list provides a guide for families to squeeze in a last minute visit with the jolly man himself. It begs the question, however, how can one man in so many places at one time. I guess we’ll have to chalk it all up to some good ol’ Christmas magic.

  1. Green Acres Mall, 2034 Green Acres Mall, Valley Stream, NY, 11581- (516) 825-4128

In the Kohl’s wing of the Green Acres Mall children will be given the opportunity to have their picture taken with Santa until he begins his holiday trek. Santa’s hours are as follows:

Wednesday through Friday 10am-1pm, 2-5pm, and 6-9pm, and Saturday 10am-1pm and 2-5pm.

Santa will be visiting the North Court of the Roosevelt Field Mall until his departure on December 24th. Times are as follows: Wednesday through Friday, 9am-9:30pm and Saturday 8am-6pm. Photo packages start at $20.

During Santa’s Long Island stay he will be making a pit stop at Hick’s Nurseries in Westbury until December 23rd and he won’t be alone. Santa’s trusted reindeer travel companions will be visiting Hick’s as well. Santa will be meeting with families and taking any last minute requests between 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm. Hick’s suggests that you bring your own camera.

Santa will be visiting the lower level, center court at the Mall at the Source daily until December 24th. Hours are as follows: Wednesday through Friday 10am-8:30pm and Saturday 8am-6pm.

Admission into the Bayville Winter Wonderland Park gives families the opportunity to meet Santa and have pictures taken with him along with a tour of Santa’s Toy Factory Funhouse, a train ride around the park, ice skating, and a spectacular light show. Tickets are $12 per person before 5pm (not including the light show) and $15 after 5pm. Times are as follows: Wednesday and Thursday 6-9pm, Friday 6-10pm, Saturday 12-10pm, and Sunday 12-9pm.

Santa won’t be on Long Island much longer but there’s still time to visit him in the Macy’s Court on Level 1 at the Westfield Sunrise Mall. Santa’s meet and greet at Walt Whitman Mall will be held in the center court. His stay will last until December 24th. Keep in mind that Santa will be taking milk and cookie breaks throughout the day and factor that into your holiday schedule.
