Brentwood Shooting Leaves Brothers Dead and a Third Injured

Early Sunday morning gunfire broke out in the town of Brentwood, leaving two brothers dead and a third man wounded. Enston Ceron Jr., 21, and his brother Ricardo, 19, were sitting in their Nissan Altima just before 3am only seven blocks away from their home. They were pronounced dead at the scene. Another man was found by police in the area who has been shot. The victim was taken to the hospital where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. His identity has not been released. Homicide Squad detectives ask that anyone with information about the incident to call them at (631) 852-6392 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS (8477).

Man Shot Outside Lindenhurst Bar

Calvin Grace of West Babylon was shot Sunday morning outside of Lefty’s Candlelight Bar and Grill when he attempted to break up a fight in the bar’s parking lot. Grace was walking to her car with a friend after leaving the bar and was shot in the leg with what was described as a black handgun after trying to intervene in the argument. The suspect fled the scene and is described as a white man, 25 years old, six feet tall with a medium build and shaved head. He has been wearing a white shirt and a white hat. Detective ask that anyone with information on the incident call the First Precinct at (631) 854-8152 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS (8477).

Nassau Jail Guard Arrested After Police Standoff

After an eight-hour standoff with police Nassau County jail guard Scott Sherman was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with second-degree kidnapping, first- and second-degree assault and second-degree menacing as well as endangering the welfare of a child and obstructing governmental administration. Police responded to a domestic disturbance call at the Sherman residence in Port Washington around 7pm Friday night. He was not arrest until 2:48 Saturday morning when he surrendered to Nassau County Bureau of Special Operations.

Three Arrested in Valley Stream for Prostitution

Investigators found two women working in a Valley Stream home, offering sex acts with performing massages. Jocelyn Arnold, 21 of Jamaica, received payment for performing a massage on a male witness then allegedly offering to engage in sexual activity on December 8th. Fatinah Ibrahim, 20, of Far Rockaway, offered sex to an undercover detective for an agreed open amount of money on December 15th. All three defendants were arrested the same day. Matt Irwin, 26, allegedly supervised and managed the prostitution business out of his house, located on Mary Street. Ibrahim and Arnold are each charged with prostitution while Arnold is additionally charged with unauthorized practice of a crime. Irwin is charged with promoting prostitution in the third degree.

Centerport Man Arrested for DWI After Huntington Accident

While driving eastbound on Jericho Turnpike, Richard Heiser, 31, of Centerport, was making a left turn onto Broadway, lost control of his vehicle and struck two utility poles around 1am, Sunday morning. His passenger, fiancé Jennifer Todero, 34, also of Centerport, suffered serious injury to her leg and was transported to Huntington Hospital, and then to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, where she was admitted in serious condition. Hesier was also transported to Huntington Hospital with minor injuries. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
