There was no game.. I didn't see a game, did you? I got in my car, went to the coliseum, chatted with friends, had nachos and left. The Islanders didn't play tonight. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Okay, back to reality. They played, and they played horribly. I thought that it was the Christmas tree lighting at the EAB plaza across the street.. Oh wait, that was the light behind our net, with Beezer guarding. Beezer showed no desire to make any saves, he just stood there hoping that the puck would not come near him. And when it did, he just fell to the ice. He got pulled from the game halfway thru the first, but Flaherty didn't spark the Isles either. Their didn't seem to be any excitement, any much of anything. I couldn't even say that player 'A' had a good night, but came up a little short where it was needed the most. Looked like they were just going thru the motions to get it over with.

There isnt much to say about the game, there was no offense, no defense. Just a whole lot of sleepy play. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Word from the stands:

Jonsson: Trade him! Trade him! I had a screamer in my section, calling for his head. And I agree with him. He won't hit anyone (he might hurt his head); he won't let anyone hit him (he might hurt his head); and he won't score. (he might hurt his head?) Trade him while his value is good.

How much wood would you chuck to get Tkachuk? Word is that its Connolly and Jonsson to go for either Tkachuk or Roenick. I'm okay with the Jonsson (see previous paragraph) but Connolly? Well, maybe... I'm just worried its going to be Izzy instead. Since Izzy is still unhappy with his contract and all negotiations, would they take him instead of Connolly? Please no, I dont want to have to put another personalized jersey in the closet.

Mike must go: I don't think Mike should go, not yet at least. In the past, he has not had the resources to go out and get us big name players. In fact, he was forced to trade players for salary dumps. Only this season has he been able to do anything worthwhile. And from the way we've been going so far, things aren't *that* bad that he should be fired. I think it is the players and the coach that should be getting the fingers pointed at them. I would like to ask everyone - if you were him, what would YOU do to fix the team? Let us know, on our message boards, below.
