Find events that help you celebrate the holidays! There are also a number of Sandy relief benefit events happening this week. On Monday, enjoy learning how to make tapas for the holiday at Levittown Public Library or a wining and dining benefit event at The Carltun. On Tuesday, enjoy musical entertainment at OHEKA Castle or head over to Hot Skate Roller Skating Rink in Lynbrook for a Chanukah party. On Wednesday, Southampton Historical Museum will host its annual cookie exchange. Wednesday is also the 12.12.12 Sandy Relief Concert at Madison Square Garden. On Thursday, enjoy a special performance of “Songs of the Season” at Babylon Public Library and a comedy show after dinner at KAZAN of Port Washington. Check out the details below!

MONDAY – DECEMBER 10, 2012

Who: Tapas For The Holiday With Chef Rich Kanowsky At Levittown Public Library
Info: The holidays are just around the corner. Take the opportunity to learn about tapas and see demonstrations with Chef Rich Knowsky on how to assemble them. The class will split into groups for everyone to have the opportunity to assemble their tapas as a team. When everyone’s finished, enjoy the different flavors with beverage served. Registration is required.

Who: An Evening Of Relief: Wining & Dining Benefit At The Carltun
Info: This wining and dining benefit is held to help Long Island victims of Superstorm Sandy. It features more than 50 of Long Island’s finest restaurants and vineyards, silent auctions, raffles, prices, live music by Hurricane and a toy and coat drive. All proceeds go to Hurricane Sandy Long Island Disaster Relief.
Cost: $75 Per Person For Advanced Purchased Tickets; $90 Per Person For Tickets At The Door

TUESDAY – DECEMBER 11, 2012

Who: An Evening Of Song and Celebration With Sustainable Long Island
Info: Enjoy an evening of song and celebration at OHEKA Castle. The event features renowned opera singer Daniel Kline to celebrate Sustainable Long Island’s benefactors.
Cost: $100 Per Person

Who: Chanukah Party At Hot Skates Roller Skating Rink
Info: Come out to celebrate the Chanukah party with a fun evening of skating. There’s also donuts, hot dogs, dreidels and menorah lighting.

WEDNESDAY – DECEMBER 12, 2012

Who: Annual Cookie Exchange At Roger’s Mansion at Southampton Historical Museum
Info: Dozens of recipes and cookies are up for swapping and exchange with the friends of the museum. There will also be cheese, crackers and wine or cider served. Attendees are asked to call to register.
Cost: $5 Per Person

Who: 12.12.12 The Concert For Sandy Relief At Madison Square Garden
Info: This will be a concert accessible worldwide. Proceeds from the benefit concert go to the Robin Hood Relief Fund for Sandy victims. Whether you watch it at Madison Square Garden, over the television or at select theaters in affected areas, it will be a concert to remember. Performers include the Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Kanye West, Alicia Keys and many others.
Cost: Free Tickets On A First-Come, First-Serve Basis, Starting December 5th At Select Theaters
Time & Place: 7:30PM to 11:30PM on television or select local theaters in affected areas

THURSDAY – DECEMBER 13, 2012

Who: Concert Series Performance of “Songs of The Season” At Babylon Public Library
Info: The Babylon Village Arts Council presents Robin Greenstein and Cecelia Kirtland for a performance of “Songs of the Season.” They’ll be dressed in Victorian period costumes to offer a multicultural musical celebration performance of songs for Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Songs will be sung in different languages, including English, Hebrew, Ladinto, Spanish, German, Swedish and Yoruban.

Who: Comedy Show At KAZAN of Port Washington
