On December 2, Reverend Dr. Robert M. Waterman will present "Live and in Chocolate," a special performance by actress/comedienne/activist Phyllis Yvonne Stickney. Showtime is 9:30 p.m., with an open mic night from 8-9 p.m. The performance will take place at Canticles, located at 207 Lewis Avenue (at the corner of Lexington Avenue) in Brooklyn.

Ms. Stickney is best known in films such as "New Jack City," "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" and "What's Love Got To Do With It." She has also performed on BET's "ComicView." Those in attendance will have the opportunity to experience Ms. Stickney's comedic talents and spoken word performance in the elegant comfort of Bedford-Stuyvesant's first-ever sober lounge.

"I am having too much fun," Ms. Stickney said. "Laughter without liquor means no alcohol-influenced behavior! Since laughter is the best medicine, 'Live and in Chocolate with Phyllis Yvonne Stickney' is just what the doctor ordered - and I'm serving it up, real and funny!"

The event is sponsored in part by Cocoa Girls Productions. Admission is $20 ($10 for Antioch Baptist Church members). This event will also be streamed live at www.turnerpayperview.com. (For pricing, please visit the website.)
