Weddings are can be a drag for guests who really don't want to be there, but feel obligated. While you know your wedding is going to be the greatest, obviously since you planned it, you should make sure to give your guests a little something to take home with them as a memento and a "thank you" for coming to your special day. So what is the best thing to give to your guests? You can give them something seasonal  or something more personal. Here are a couple of not only our favorite winter wedding favors, but our favorite takeaways for anytime of year!

1. Gourmet Hot Chocolate: this is a classic winter treat that your guests will love! Not only will this please the adults, because really who doesn't love hot chocolate, but your kids will be super excited to go home and have their favorite winter beverage. You can put the hot chocolate in a small monogrammed burlap bag and attach a little snowflake tag with the date of your wedding day. Add in mini marshmallows for an extra touch!

2. Oil and Vinegar: If you are having a rustic wedding, a very popular wedding theme for winter, then giving a rustic themed favor is a perfect idea. Think about giving away small bottles of infused olive oils or balsamic vinegar. It will be a totally unexpected favor but one that your guests will very much appreciate. This takeaway is something that they can immediately start cooking with and enjoying!

3. Gingerbread Men: There is a small child in all of us that just loves making gingerbread men or gingerbread houses, it clearly one of the best parts of the holiday. Give your guests all the fixings to make the perfect gingerbread structure in your wedding favors and they will never forget it! You can even do this for dessert and they can take home the gingerbread men as their favors/

4. Gourmet Cashews: You know those those delicious honey nut stands that you see whenever you head into the City? Give your guests a little taste of New York and give out honey roasted cashews or any other nut for an absolutely delicious wedding favor! You can package them in boxes that coordinate with your signature colors. If you know anyone with a peanut allergy, no worries! Just substitute peanuts for gourmet popcorn instead!

5. Monogrammed Mugs: Getting a simple monogrammed mug is a wonderful idea for a wedding favor, especially for the winter! Not only will your guests love having this keepsake that they can use daily, but it can be wonderfully creative. You can decide what color you want your mug to be and what the inscription will be. My personal favorite is going with a clear mug with an intricate monogram!
