The days are getting shorter and the weather is getting colder. But that certainly doesn’t mean you can’t get out and join a sports league as we head into winter.
 
Not only do sports leagues give you a chance to play a game that you love while meeting new people; they are also a great way to stay in shape during those typically unhealthy winter and holiday months.
 
There are many places on Long Island where you can join an indoor sports league. Of course, we all know the obvious indoor sports - basketball, hockey, etc. - but you can also find other leagues to participate in such as indoor lacrosse, dodgeball and soccer.

Long Island Sports Hub
Syosset
Offers dodgeball, kickball, flag football and soccer. The arena has leagues, clinics, camps tournaments and more.
 
Long Island Sports Complex
Freeport
This arena has soccer, baseball, softball, lacrosse and football as well as camps, clinics and other programs. This is also the newest sports complex on Long Island and features a turf field.
 
Coastal Sports
Hauppauge and Sayville
This sports complex is mostly focused on children’s sports. However there are also a few adult leagues including a men’s over 30 soccer league. They also offer clinics and leagues for lacrosse, field hockey, baseball and more.
 
The Sports Arena
St. James
Offering both youth and adult sports, this complex has roller hockey, dodgeball, multi-sport camps, soccer training in addition to their turf field, hockey rink, outdoor facility and all purpose room.
 
Sportime
Bethpage
Sportime has a roller hockey rink, two basketball courts, five volleyball courts, a full-size soccer and lacrosse field, and even a rock-climbing wall.
