The days are getting shorter and the weather is getting colder. But that certainly doesn’t mean you can’t get out and join a sports league as we head into winter.

Not only do sports leagues give you a chance to play a game that you love while meeting new people; they are also a great way to stay in shape during those typically unhealthy winter and holiday months.

There are many places on Long Island where you can join an indoor sports league. Of course, we all know the obvious indoor sports - basketball, hockey, etc. - but you can also find other leagues to participate in such as indoor lacrosse, dodgeball and soccer.
