Long Island Restaurant and Hospitality Group is presenting their annual Long Island Restaurant Week this week, November 3rd to November 10th. Over 150 resturants on Long Island are taking part of this week long culinary event.

This event takes place twice a year since 2006 with their fall Restaurant Week. In April 2011, they began a spring event with restaurants due to popular demand. Dervied from a smaller restaurant week taking place in the Hamptons, there were many benefits to conducting a restaurant week. For the patrons, they would try new restaurants they never tried before. For restaurant owners, they would receive new business.

Now, here is how restaurant week works. All restaurants have a prix-fixe, fixed price, menu including your choice of appetizer, entree, and dessert. All restaurants participating in Resturant Week offer their meals for $27.95 (not including beverages, taxes, and tip).

With over 150 restaurants that are taking part in this huge event, here is our guide to some of the many great resturants you can dine at this week:

  • Pace's Steak House - Their signature steaks are more than enough reason to pay this restaurant a visit.
  • Perfecto Mundo - This latin inspired menu offers coriander crusted pork tenderloin to the pumpkin flan.
  • Polo Lounge & Restaurant at Westbury Manor - While you are enjoying your classic Italian inspired menu, you can enjoy the beautiful English gardens and manor.
  • Rare 650 -At this restaurant, diners can enjoy not only a delicious steak, but a wide variety of sushi.
  • Jake's Steakhouse - Not to be mixed up with their city restaurant, Jake's Long Island restaurant is offering a variety of menu options ranging from their famous steaks to their grilled Mahi Mahi.
  • Hudson's Mill - Priding itself for their atmosphere perfect for business meetings or a date, they offer a wide variety of seafood inspired dishes.
  • Chop Shop - From sandwiches to steaks to bacon mac and cheese gratin, this Smithtown restaurant's style motif will be a great place to eat and hang out.
  • Blond - Featuring "New American" food, Blond offers a sophisitcated ambiance and a delicious array of chicken, beef, and seafood dishes.
  • One Main - This restaurant at the heart of Babylon Village takes pride in their twist on New American cuisine that they like to match up with the perfect wine or beer.
  • Rose Hunt Restaurant & Lounge - A part of Fox Hollow, this lounge offers award-winning cuisines while you enjoy the ambiance of the English Country Estate that it is located in.
